Two 3D printers, a laser engraver, and a vinyl cutter with a heat press clam shell are available in the Fabrication Lab. Print 3D objects, cut and engrave with laser precision, or make your next professional quality sign or t-shirt. Patrons 16 years or older must complete free certification courses to reserve time with equipment.
Spark your creativity with a maker kit. These fully stocked kits provide all the supplies and tools needed to try a variety of activities. They are available for check-out and use in Ignite Studio, and must be checked-in before the library closes each evening. Other items available include sewing machines, pottery wheels, Cricut machine, tool kits, electric drill/driver, and more.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY
Ignite Studio offers zones for creativity. Make a mess with paints and clay in the messy maker area. Create something beautiful from paper or fabric in the clean maker area. And play with Legos, crayons and more in our open play area. Bring your own projects or try something new in Ignite.
LIMITED AVAILABILITY
Take advantage of our audio/video production studio to record your next project. This suite includes free access to audio and video production equipment, mixing console, microphones and cabling, high-end cameras, lighting equipment, a green screen and more.
Make your next tech project come to life in our digital media labs. Four lab spaces are available for free to users in Ignite Studio. Each is equipped with a 27” iMac with retina display and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
Ignite Studio houses a Maker-in-Residence space designed to support professional and emerging artists in central Indiana. Artists will serve 6-12 week terms in this space, exhibit their work, offer educational experiences to patrons, and provide insight into their own creative process. Stay tuned for more information about upcoming artists and how to apply to the program.
