Curious about what you can do with Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) in the Digital Media Labs in Ignite Studio? Adobe CC is not only the industry standard for creative design software, but also great for those who have an interest in digital art, photo and video editing, animation, and so much more. Whether you’re new to photoshop or have a big project for an event, the labs have something for everyone! Overview of Adobe CC and the Digital Media Labs
With Adobe CC, you can use multiple applications with one file, taking your project to new heights! My projects typically use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. These are my preferred applications for whenever I’m doing animation. For example, I drew up an illustration of a house in Adboe Illustrator and then imported it to After Effects to be animated.

You can also do digital artwork and painting using Photoshop! Photoshop lets you work in layers. Using brushes, you can add different elements to your piece such as lighting, shading, and extra detail.
Layers were used to add reflection in the water and color for the clouds to simulate lighting.
Of course, drawing tablets are absolutely essential for digital artwork. Luckily, Ignite happens to have Wacom Intuos drawing tablets, which are great for artists of all skill levels!

Think the labs sound cool but don’t know where to start? We recommend you try Adobe’s tutorials and walkthrough guides on learning these programs. These are included with the Creative Suite, and they’re super helpful and straightforward. It’s a great way to get into digital media creation! Adobe CC also features tutorials on their YouTube channel if you prefer that format!
If you’re a little more serious about mastering Adobe CC—I recommend Skillshare! For $14 a month, you have access to hundreds of videos and classes that offer tutorials on every aspect of creating digital media. Skillshare has definitely been a helpful and a fun way for me to improve my drawing and digital media creation skills!
