Summer is almost here!
Time to assemble your breezy clothes and outdoor gear.
When it’s too darn hot,
come to Ignite and check out what we’ve got!
2023 Summer Programs in Ignite
The objects that we throw away, lose or forget about, still have a life afterward. Discover the joy of assemblages by combining objects in your own meaningful way. It begins with an empty cigar box, but will be transformed to show a glimpse inside your mind. Registration begins two weeks prior to start date. Ages 16 and up.
Drop-In Activity: Blind Contour Drawing
Join us in Ignite to make portraits of our community! Blind contour drawing involves making a continuous line following the contours of your subject, without looking at the paper! This drawing technique is used to train your brain to look more closely at your subject and has surprising results. Add it to our community board or take it home! Step-by-step instruction sheets will help you in this self-guided activity. Materials will be available in Ignite while supplies last. Ages 5 and up.

Drop-In Activity: Community Puzzle
Stop by Ignite to add a piece to our collaborative puzzle. Design a puzzle piece that goes with our Summer Reading theme, ‘All Together Now,’ and we will find the perfect place to add it to our display. Step-by-step instruction sheets will help you in this self-guided activity. Materials will be available in Ignite while supplies last. Ages 5 and up.
Meet our Maker-in-Residence
Take a class or stop by an open studio to work with our Summer Maker-in-Residence, Addie Hirchsten.
Summer is fun time to try something new. Try out a kit, use our equipment or get certified on one of our fab lab machines. Hope to see you in Ignite this summer!
